As a result, tech purchases for in-home entertainment grew. But young consumers couldn’t shop for these devices as they once did. Trying out a product in-store was one of the top influences in tech purchases pre-COVID, and with most young consumers uncomfortable with non-essential in-store shopping, their influential sources shifted.
