Jordan is forming “The Women’s Collective” to help redefine the Jumpman logo.

Mar 30 2022

Jordan is forming “The Women’s Collective” to help redefine the Jumpman logo. In honor of Women’s History Month, Jordan is bringing together 33 women from various industries and cities to put a modern twist on the meaning of the Jumpman logo. The collective is made up of skaters, designers, photographers, stylists, and more hailing from L.A., Chicago, New York, London, Paris, and Shanghai. All of the women will participate in retreats, panels, and events for six months as they bring a new perspective to the Jordan brand, and at the end of the six months the women will choose the next round of leaders to join. As the company’s vice president and general manager of Women’s Jordan says, “While there has been gender equity advancement in the world of professional sports, basketball culture is lagging and remains a male-dominated and elitist space.” YPulse research shows that gender equality / sexism is one of the top issues Gen Z and Millennials are passionate about in 2022, and representation in sports is vital to reaching both current and non-sports fans.
