Ahead of Dune’s highly anticipated theater release and premiere on HBO Max this weekend, Fortnite dropped skins (that went live October 19) based on Zendaya’s and Timothée Chalamet’s likeness of their characters (Chani and Paul Atreides). Skins for celebrities like Ariana Grande, Will Smith, and more are becoming a new trend in gaming, and Zendaya’s and Timothée Chalamet’s versions represent a new opportunity as films/TV series create skins that aren’t just based on a movie character, but a celebrity’s likeness of them.
