Google’s top trending searches this year includes Disney+, Baby Yoda, James Charles, and Billie Eilish. YPulse research shows that young consumers are more likely to turn to a search engine than TV, specific websites, or blogs when they want entertainment and celebrity news. This year, that search activity made Disney+ the top trending topic of the year—showing the launch of the platform really did take over the internet. (Baby Yoda was the top searched baby.) The top overall searches also included Gen Z and Millennial favorites Avengers: Endgame and Game of Thrones. (CNN, Variety)
