It goes without saying the news young people see can be divisive and depressing these days. And even when they’re not looking for news updates and opinions on current events, social media algorithms surface what news and sources aligns with their other interactions. Young people have shifted away from reading established news sources and are staying informed through social media platforms—and mainly video ones. But, they know it’s not always trustworthy, and they want to see more varied, factual news. So, how are they finding information now?
