Causes/Charity & Activism Report

Nearly all young people say they’re passionate about a social cause / issue this year—in fact, 95% of Gen Z and Millennials do. And considering it’s a U.S. election year, we expect young people to get even more involved in issues they care about. So what is top of mind for young people in 2024?

In this year’s Causes / Charity and Activism report, YPulse explores what social causes / issues young people feel passionate about today, how they’re personally supporting causes, and what they expect from brands.

  • How many young people are passionate about mental health, poverty, and human rights this year
  • What social causes / issues are top of mind for teens, twenty-somethings, and Millennials
  • How often young people are seeking out brands that support causes they believe in

Report length: 19 pages, North America report is based on surveys of 1500 13-39-year-olds in the U.S. and Canada, fielded in January 2024. Western Europe report is based on a survey of 2500 13-39-year-olds in the U.K., Italy, Spain, France, and Germany, fielded in January 2024.
