Gen Z and Millennials prefer original content to remakes and franchises. Tubi recently conducted a survey among 2,500 adults that found more than 70% of Millennials and Gen Z are looking for something new and original in the sea of streaming and video content. It also indicated that now more than ever, young people are looking for content that is independent, so they can feel a sense of importance by directly supporting small-time creators. And we know Gen Z loves binge watching, so they can easily feel connected to new drops (especially if given multiple seasons), as much as they do their time-old reruns. (Collider)
