Some Gen Z and Millennials are more productive after hours. According to an Adobe study of over 5,500 workers across the globe, including the U.K., U.S., and Japan, “the youngest generation of workers is over three times more likely to prefer logging into their laptops to work well into the night than the oldest generation of workers.” They found that over a quarter (26%) of Gen Z and 18% of Millennials claimed to be most productive from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m., compared to 13% of Gen X and just 6% of Boomers. And while the business world is largely still built for early birds, that might be subject to change very soon: “70% of young workers said they would quit their job in favor of one with more control over their work schedule.” YPulse told you how Gen Z is already fueling some major workplace trends, and our Employment and Career Goals report shows work / life balance is a major determining factor when it comes to where they want to work.
