Music app Tidal now gives users the ability to host a live DJ.

Music app Tidal now gives users the ability to host a live DJ. The new feature “Live is available for both HiFi ($9.99 per month) and HiFi Plus ($19.99 per month) subscribers of the streaming service” and puts one person, called the initiator, in charge of song selections for playlists. Users will be able to create a music session while listening to a song by tapping the Live button and naming the session. The “DJ” can then send a link to their friends, even those who aren’t Tidal subscribers. The feature is reminiscent of Spotify’s Blend feature which also lets users create playlists with friends. YPulse’s Music report shows only 5% of Gen Z and Millennials say they use Tidal to stream music regularly. (TechCrunch)
