Young consumers are always raving about Target on social media. A growing number of Target fan accounts have emerged on social media over the last few years, with users showing off “everything from hair care to home decor, weighted plush toys, and appliances.” The running joke online is that there’s literally something for everyone at the big box store, which is why Target has perfected the ability to reach both Gen Z and Millennial shoppers. And just like the viral hashtag #FoundItOnAmazon, #TargetFinds has amassed 6.3B views on TikTok. Plus, Target has introduced tons of brands that are specifically catered towards Gen Z consumers (like August) that are often featured in their “Target Trip” shop-with-me video content on social media. YPulse’s Mass Merch Mentality trend report shows that young consumers are shopping at big box stores like Target for clothing, beauty products, and home goods more than any other type of store.
