TikTok has been banned again, this time among British government officials. TikTok is having a hard time with seemingly daily bans of the app happening over concerns about the potential misuse of personal data from the Beijing-based company. The latest is the British government, who just asked its officials to stop using the app. A few weeks ago, the European Commission banned its staff from using the app and politicians are pushing for bans in the U.S., too. The irony of the situation is that TikTok has never been so popular in Western Europe, and YPulse research shows that 73% of European Gen Z are using TikTok, making it the most used app among this gen.
