A marketing campaign in London used AI technology in billboards to raise awareness about knife crime. The Ben Kinsella Trust, a charity with the mission to end knife crime in the U.K., installed machine learning in billboards to detect the sound of police and ambulance sirens, and display text messages from mums every time such sounds were heard. A recent study revealed that knife crime in the U.K. last year was the highest on record in 76 years. And the demographic with the highest increase in knife crime was teenage boys, whose mental health has been negatively impacted since the pandemic, and made very vulnerable. (The Drum)
