Snapchat is introducing AI, too. Currently available only to Snapchat+ subscribers, My AI will function as a friend on Snapchat that users can message with any request. Using ChatGPT’s tech, the AI friend can write poems, recipes, or plan a vacation, but Snapchat warns to “not share any secrets with My AI and do not rely on it for advice” because the tech “is prone to hallucination and can be tricked into saying just about anything.” YPulse data shows Snapchat is used not only by about half of Gen Z and Millennials, but also 17% of Millennials’ Gen Alpha kids, meaning this AI could reach even the youngest of social media users.
