Meta is introducing their own artificial intelligence powered tools for WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram. The tech giant recently announced the release of LLaMA (Large Language Model Meta AI), which they say is “a state-of-the-art foundational large language model designed to help researchers advance their work in this subfield of AI.” And across their several platforms, “the company is working on AI ‘experiences’ with text, such as chat with Messenger and WhatsApp,” as well as “creative Instagram filters and ad formats [plus] video and multi-modal experiences.” AI integrations are beginning to become a trend this year, but more companies are paving the way for the tech to become a regular part of the future, especially targeting Gen Z, who are already familiar with AI like ChatGPT.
