Artificial intelligence has reached the masses—and now popular note-taking app Notion is joining the AI trend. Last week, Notion, (the Gen Z-loved note taking app that blew up thanks to TikTok) launched an AI assistant that’s “able to generate content, edit for spelling and grammar, create a list of ideas, and summarize what’s on the current page.” Without any wait lists or limited availability, this makes Notion AI one of the most accessible chatbots currently available. Users can start a new line of text and press the space bar to activate the AI writing assistant and ask anything of their choosing, but there’s also “a list of things the writing assistant can do with text that’s already written”—which basically acts like Grammarly. This function can “summarize a lengthy block of words in a few seconds, give advice on how to improve writing, or help people get a few ideas,” limiting the controversy around the idea that AI might one day replace humans. YPulse told you AI is this year’s new marketing buzzword and we expect more to make use of the tech this year as Gen Z becomes accustomed to it.
