Dating for Gen Z and Millennials looks very different. According to an IANS survey, Gen Z users of dating app QuackQuack prefer online dating more than Millennials. While Gen Z is more open to dating multiple people at once to test out their options through activities such as speed dating (the study shows nearly a third of daters between 18-to-22-years-old are trying out speed dating), Millennials are using dating platforms to find their one true love. Before committing, Gen Z likes to explore relationships and feel them out before they get too serious, and almost a quarter of them aren’t afraid to ghost people; whereas 32% of Millennials find ghosting immature and disrespectful. YPulse’s What’s the Situationship? trend research shows that 56% of young people agree, “social media makes it hard to be in a committed relationship because you see so many other options out there.” (The Economic Times)
