American Eagle is going all-in on Twitch gamers to reach Gen Z.After noticing an uptick in gaming interest in consumer insights data, American Eagle started doubling down on its Twitch efforts. Now, the apparel retailer is launching a docuseries with Twitch featuring some of the platform’s biggest streamers. For example, Sydney Parker (a.k.a. Sydeon), who has nearly 300,000 followers, stars in the second episode of the five-part series, showing viewers how she originally started pursuing a career in nursing until she realized she could make a living via gaming and cosplaying on the platform. Twitch is becoming the focus of more and more brands, including unexpected brands like Honda and State Farm, and American Eagle’s docuseries shows how it’s uplifting the stories of young gamers after becoming an official marketing partner of /twitchgaming last year.
