Sodexo is bringing robots to college campuses to deliver food from virtual brands.

Apr 04 2022

Sodexo is bringing robots to college campuses to deliver food from virtual brands. We told you about the ghost kitchen craze and popular virtual food brands like MrBeast Burger and Pasqually’s Pizza & Wings (which is really just Chuck E. Cheese). The trend got even bigger at the end of last year when TikTok announced it was teaming up with Virtual Dining Concepts (which is behind MrBeast Burger) to deliver viral foods like baked feta pasta. Now, Sodexo is joining the bandwagon in a partnership with Kiwibot that will bring over 1,200 delivery robots to 50 U.S. college campuses. Sodexo will use the robots to deliver food from three delivery-only virtual brands under the Virtual Dining Concepts umbrella. The company also announced it’s bringing ramen vending machines and checkout-free grocery stores to several campuses. (Restaurant Dive)
