Crypto.com teamed up with Snap on an AR lens that transports users to LeBron James’ 2003 bedroom. Following up on Crypto.com’s Super Bowl spot with LeBron James, the augmented reality lens lets Snapchatters explore LeBron James’ virtual 2003 bedroom, hunt for easter eggs that unlock AR experiences, and download the Crypto.com app without having to leave Snapchat. According to the social platform, Snapchatters in North America engaged with AR more than two billion times on Super Bowl Sunday this year, while mentions of the Super Bowl on Snapchat were up 50% YoY. YPulse told you how tapping Snapchat for virtual experiences has been a boon for brands, and creating lenses tied to sports is certainly a way to peak young consumers’ (and young sports fans’) interest.
