Meta and Rolling Stone are rolling out a content Creator House trio to be featured at upcoming festivals and events. The two companies are joining forces to host “Creator Houses” at 2022’s biggest music and cultural festivals, starting with an installation at SXSW in Austin, Texas this month. The Creator Houses will “develop unique and engaging experiences exploring the creative products and tools that support creators.” The SXSW Creator House will feature tech like Oculus VR headsets and Instagram Reels, and musicians Tone Stith and Destiny Rogers will be included on panel discussions covering content creation strategies. The second installation will be held in April during Coachella, featuring a lineup of performers and a consumer tech showcase by Meta. And the third phase of the partnership will be used to promote Rolling Stone’s “Creator’s Issue” in May. Meta and Rolling Stone will also launch a new Reels series dubbed “Behind the Creator” where they will spotlight emerging creators involved in each Creator House installment. YPulse’s New Content Creators trend research shows that over half of Gen Z and Millennials are creating content for an audience beyond their friends and family, and creating opportunities for them to come together and learn tips for innovating is one way to support these creative gens.
