“The Batman” is leaning into high fashion ahead of the film’s weekend release.

Mar 03 2022

The Batman is leaning into high fashion ahead of the film’s weekend release. Lanvin, Fossil, EleVen by Venus Williams, and Emilie Heathe are among the brands releasing collections inspired by The Batman, featuring everything from movie-inspired footwear, to nail polish, and fitness gear. Luxury brands Lanvin and Fossil released capsule collections heavy on the color eggplant purple, apparel and accessories emblazoned with vintage illustrations of Batman and Catwoman, and leather goods and jewelry that nod to the Dark Knight and the Riddler. EleVen by Venus Williams offers a The Batman activewear collection featuring bright red lace-up styles, edgy black designs, and monochromatic tennis dresses, and Emilie Heathe launched a limited edition nail polish line for consumers to deck out their nails in moody metallic lacquers featuring names like Madness, The Dark Knight, and Vengeance. YPulse told you how luxury brands have been tapping unexpected entertainment genres (like anime) to reach young people, and as the rules of high end fashion / beauty continue to bend, tapping luxury for movie marketing could be a huge boon for Hollywood studios and brands alike—especially when it involves fandoms like DC Comics superheroes.
