Truly Hard Seltzer is hosting a first date sweepstakes to encourage 21+ singles to make Valentine’s Day plans. As if there wasn’t already pressure on young singles to have a Valentine’s Day date, Truly Hard Seltzer is hyping them up to make plans for a chance to win some cash. Consumers can participate by tweeting proof of their Valentine’s Day first date to @TrulySeltzer using #TrulyVibin. Anything from a screenshot of a direct message detailing plans with a date to a pre-date selfie counts as proof, and the most creative submissions will win $100 via Cash App, and the top five submissions will receive $1,000. Truly Hard Seltzer created the campaign in response to a survey that found 70% of Americans would be willing to go on a first date on Valentine’s Day, encouraging 21+ singles that they don’t need to be in a long-term relationship to celebrate the holiday. YPulse’s Valentine’s Day research shows half of young people who are celebrating the day plan to go out, and they’re not just celebrating with their significant other(s). (Marketing Dive)
