Dec 20 2021

A VSCO study reveals what Gen Z’s outlook on fashion, daily activities, and goals will look like in the next year. According to a JUV Consulting survey of 1,000 Gen Z creators conducted for VSCO, 59% of respondents say they plan to dress up more in 2022. Affordability in fashion is top of mind, and 57% say they’re opting for sustainable clothing. Photography, playing or creating music, journaling, experimenting with makeup, photo / video editing, and making video content are some of their favorite hobbies, and the Gen Z creators surveyed say they plan to improve their mental health and wellness above all else in 2022. Pop music is one of their favorite genres, with Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, BTS, Doja Cat, and Olivia Rodrigo leading the ranks in artists they enjoy most. Activism is also important to this gen, with only 3% of respondents saying they didn’t support any causes they cared about, and 53% saying they support content that aligns with their values on social media.
