Lifewtr is teaming up with Doja Cat to transport fans to “Planet Her.” To promote her third studio album (“Planet Her”), Lifewtr created in-person and virtual activations connecting fans to prizes including merch, autographed items, VIP tickets to 2022 “Planet Her” shows, and AR experiences. A “Get Into My Drip” Instagram Sweepstakes features an AR filter that puts users into a “virtual extraterrestrial vortex” transporting them to “Planet Her.” The filter can be accessed via Doja Cat’s and Lifewtr’s pages, and fans can enter the sweepstakes by posting selfies and tagging the accounts along with #GetIntoMyDrip and #Sweepstakes. Additionally, Lifewtr tapped Jillian Evelyn to design a mural in L.A. featuring scannable QR codes that unlock the extraterrestrial AR experience. AR is growing fast as brands integrate connected experiences to their packaging and their virtual platforms, and with music from Doja Cat’s “Planet Her” album continuing to take off on TikTok, linking an extraterrestrial experience to hype up the artist’s tour is one way to connect with fans.
