Last year changed fashion in many ways, and paved the way for new trends that young consumers will be following and driving going forward, from “circularity” to “joyful fashion.” According to Sourcing Journal, loungewear, loose fits, tradition-breaking, bright colors, and new takes on denim are among the 21 trends that brands need to know about this year. Other trends they’re predicting will be big build on social issues that are important to young consumers including heritage and people-of-color-owned businesses especially following the Black Lives Matter protests, and resale, environmentalism, and conscious consumption as they prioritize climate change.
