Small cities are attracting remote workers during the pandemic.

Nov 18 2020

Small cities are attracting remote workers during the pandemic. As the pandemic persists, some young employees are growing less attached to large, crowded cities and have been flocking to much smaller ones like Burlington, Vermont, which has a population just under 43,000. Since COVID has allowed most people to work from home, the trend of working “hundreds or thousands of miles from their company’s office,” has been speeding up. At-home cubicles have become a major home trend, and YPulse’s No Place Like Home trend report found that 34% of Millennials living in cities are considering or planning to move to a suburban or rural area.
