As dating app usage continues to soar, young consumers are prioritizing finding “like-minded” matches with the same ideals. The pandemic has changed how young people date, and according to OKCupid’s Future of Dating report, singles want like-minded matches with 64% saying they prefer a date that shares their political views. Racial equality and climate change are among the issues that are the most important to them. Dating app usage is expected to continue booming: According to Apptopia, major dating apps “grew considerably” between September and October.
