Instagram’s “Cheap Old Houses” account is getting their own reality series on HGTV. YPulse’s No Place Like Home trend report found that 34% of Millennials are moving out of cities because of lower housing costs, and many of them have been turning to Instagram pages like Cheap Old Houses, whose audience grew nearly “twice the rate” on a weekly basis since the pandemic started. Now, the viral account’s founders Ethan and Elizabeth Finkelstein are getting their own eight-episode reality series on HGTV. The show will follow the couple as they visit cities and small towns across the country to tour low-priced older homes as they share the “historical significance and architectural uniqueness” of each one, and what they could look like with “proper restorations.” (Deadline)
