Post-Holiday Shopping Report

Before the holidays, most of Gen Z and Millennials reported that they would be doing everything they could to make up for another tough year. But there is, of course, sometimes a difference between what consumers plan and what their reality ends up as. So how did young peoples’ holiday shopping plans actually pan out?

With our Pre- and Post-Holiday shopping surveys, YPulse compares young consumers’ holiday shopping plans to how they actually shopped for the holidays. When did young consumers plan to shop? Did they stick to the plan or did they holiday shop later than expected? Did they stick to a budget? The answers can help brands understand what to be prepared for next season.

  • Where young consumers did their holiday shopping
  • When Gen Z and Millennials planned to shop vs when they actually shopped
  • The type of holiday gifts they bought for their loved ones

Report Length: 20pages, North America report is based on a survey of 1500 13-39-year-olds in the U.S. and Canada, fielded in December. Western Europe report is based on a survey of 2500 13-39-year-olds in the U.K., Italy, Spain, France, and Germany, fielded in December 2022
