Netflix is turning the fashion from their new show into a real line of luxury gowns. With no ads on the platform, Netflix has found creative ways for brands to connect with their viewers offline—including a Stranger Things inspired clothing line from H&M. Now the streaming platform is kicking it up a notch with a partnership that will (hopefully) inspire younger generations to dress like the ‘70s and ‘80s elite. After filming wrapped for the Netflix TV show Halston—the designer who launched the fashion house in the late ‘60s—the American luxury brand and Netflix worked together to create a luxury collection, putting a modern twist on the iconic gowns featured in the show. The brands worked with Robert Rodriguez and Jeriana San Juan to create 10 pieces total, and the gowns will be featured in window displays at Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus when the line launches this August. Following Netflix’s head turning styles from Bridgerton, Emily in Paris, and The Queen’s Gambit, which all caused an uptick in sales for items featured in the shows, show-inspired fashion lines look to be a new way for brands to appeal to fans.
