Spotify is launching a virtual concert series with The Black Keys, Leon Bridges, and more.

May 20 2021

Spotify is launching a virtual concert series with The Black Keys, Leon Bridges, and more. To revive the live-music scene and engage with concert-goers who haven’t been able to attend live music events the past year, Spotify is kicking off a virtual concert series. The pre-recorded shows airing on the platform this summer will feature The Black Keys, Rag’n’Bone Man, Jack Antonoff, Leon Bridges, and girl in red. Musicians will put their own creative spin on where they will perform, with The Black Keys keeping it classic at a traditional music venue and Jack Antonoff performing on a bus traveling from Brooklyn to Asbury Park, New Jersey (Springsteen’s old stomping grounds). Shows will run for 40-75 minutes and will cost $15 for Spotify users, giving fans an “intimate” music-listening experience. With YPulse’s media consumption data showing a six point increase in interest for at-home entertainment post-COVID, it’s clear that livestreamed experiences will have a life going forward.
