Chipotle released “QR-enabled shirts” to encourage young people to vote—and they sold out.

Chipotle released “QR-enabled shirts” to encourage young people to vote—and they sold out. YPulse’s Not Waiting for the World to Change trend report found that 75% of 13-39-year-old like it when brands encourage customers to vote—and many have come up with creative ways to do so. Chipotle is the latest, teaming up with Democracy Works’ Turbo Vote platform to launch “Chi-Vote Le” t-shirts, which have a “pepper-shaped QR code” on the sleeve that customers can scan with their phones to prompt a voter registration site. The shirts were released on their Chipotle Goods site for $11.03 (a reference to Election Day)—and they’re already sold out. (Mobile Marketer)
