In a world that is “so upside down,” the pandemic continues to take a major toll on young people’s mental health.

In a world that is “so upside down,” the pandemic continues to take a major toll on young people’s mental health. According to a report from engagement and insight agency Beatfreeks, 91% of 16-25-year-olds are worried about their mental health in light of COVID-19—and YPulse’s exclusive COVID research found that 41% of 13-39-year-olds mental health has been negatively impacted by Coronavirus. On top of facing the obstacles of remote learning, students are struggling with their mental health since they can’t see the staff members who usually help them cope with trauma. Experts are worried about the continued psychological toll that the crisis is taking on a younger generation that was already experiencing soaring rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide before the pandemic.
