BuzzFeed’s quizzes have a new multiplayer mode to make it easier for users to socialize together from home. With Quiz Party, up to three users are allowed to complete the site’s quizzes together simultaneously on a browser. The tool uses a unique URL to share with friends. While individuals still complete the quiz on their own, it provides a more intimate experience than just simply sharing the results on social media or waiting for friends’ results on their own time. According to BuzzFeed, they have been seeing an “explosion of interest” in quizzes during the pandemic—and the new feature could be a hit with young consumers who are already using co-viewing apps during this time.
