Netflix is replacing TV as “the center of American culture” as it adds nearly 16 million subscribers during the pandemic. Netflix seems to be emerging as a winner of the ongoing streaming wars as young viewers’ media consumption continues to be impacted during this time.  According to the streaming giant, they’ve added 15.8 million subscribers in the last three months, and their reality series Love is Blind and the much talked about Tiger King have become big hits during quarantine, turning them into the new “American zeitgeist.” YPulse’s COVID-19 research found 13-39-year-olds’ Netflix use has been steadily climbing while in quarantine.
