Nightlife & Drinking Report
YPulse’s 2022 In Between Trend report predicted that young people had adjusted in many ways to their new, much-closer-to-home normal post-pandemic, and declared that some things would never return to the way they were. Just a few years later, we see that they’re using their post-pandemic freedom to have more wholesome hangs instead of running rampant across bars and clubs. In other words, nightlife looks vastly different for Gen Z than it did for Millennials. Their attitudes about clubbing, and in turn drinking, are pretty indifferent, but that doesn’t mean they’re not having fun—they’re just doing it their own way.
In YPulse’s 2025 Nightlife and Drinking report, we take a look at Gen Z’s attitude toward nightlife culture, and how their alcohol, cannabis, cigarette, and other drug consumption has changed over time.
