YPulse predicted that in 2024 we’d see more brands competing to become Gen Z’s third spaces, and we’re already seeing examples proving the trend is picking up. A third place is a space where people can go, talk to others, and connect deeper over a shared activity. And to better understand how young people connect outside school and work, YPulse asked young Europeans 13-39-year-olds if they even have a third place. The majority (62%) of them answered yes—perhaps surprisingly given the existing narrative around their ability to find connections outside work or school.
