Weddings and Marriage Report

Are Gen Z and Millennials still dreaming of big, traditional weddings? New trends like micro weddings and elopements are proving they want a more intimate setting when tying the knot. But some young people are still investing in large-scale celebrations—or wanting to—but paying for it all on their own will really guide their final choices. Ultimately, love and partnership remain important to these gens, but where that leads and how they celebrate it is evolving.

YPulse’s 2025 Weddings and Marriage report dives into the reasons why Gen Z and Millennials want to get married (or don’t), the wedding trends they’re interested in, and all their thoughts on engagement rings.

  • How many Gen Z and Millennials want to get married, and why some don’t
  • The new wedding trends they’re into and the traditions they think are still in style
  • The type of engagement ring they want and what matters most to them when picking
