Social Media Behavior Report

Many Gen Z and Millennials have felt social media fatigue in the last couple years, despite socials being a huge part of their social lives and day-to-day entertainment. Well, more the entertainment than the social part. But, that said, you’d be surprised to see how young consumers’ perceptions on social media have changed this year. And of course, we ask how they’re engaging on the most popular platforms—all of them.

In this year’s Social Media Behavior report, YPulse shows how young people are your biggest brand promoters, how many young people are participating in the “nose cover” trend, and how parents are monitoring their kiddos online.

  • What platforms teens, young adults, and Millennials are using now (and how much time they’re spending on each)
  • How young people are engaging on socials (are they content creators or viewers?) and their overall perceptions on social media
  • Where young people plan to go if TikTok shuts down

Report length: 20 pages, North America report is based on surveys of 1500 13-39-year-olds in the U.S. and Canada, fielded in March 2024. Western Europe report is based on a survey of 2500 13-39-year-olds in the U.K., Italy, Spain, France, and Germany, fielded in March 2024.
