Mobile/App Behavior Report

Gen Z and Millennials grew up in a digital world, especially Gen Z. In YPulse’s 2022 Tech/Device Usage survey, Gen Z reported to have received their first smartphone in their early teens, compared to the later teen years for Millennials. But regardless of how old they were when they landed their first smartphone, both gens are completely hooked on these devices. Gen Z has never known a world without them, and Millennials have made them a part of almost every aspect of their lives. Using apps to watch content, get directions, shop, and much, much more is their norm from a young age. It is a part of their everyday lives—with the majority of them agreeing that their smartphone makes their lives better.

In this year’s Mobile App Behavior report we’ll explore young consumers’ feelings about their smartphones, their app usage, and what makes them download the apps they rely on.
