More than half of students tell YPulse that their education has been severely set back because of COVID and many are feeling overwhelmed for the upcoming Fall 2021 semester. With all of education’s pandemic-related challenges, many have begun questioning the value of pursuing higher education, and students have begun prioritizing different goals for themselves in their futures. This report reveals students’ thoughts on their current academic journey and what they now want most as we head into a post-COVID future.

North America report based on a survey of 1450 13-39-year-olds in the U.S. and Canada, fielded in July 2021. Western Europe report based on a survey of 1300 13-39-year-olds in the U.K., France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, fielded in July 2021.
All surveys fielded after June 1, 2021 are expanded to a North American sample and totals now reflect the views of 13-39-year-olds in both the U.S. and Canada
