European Gen Z are planning skill-based trips this summer. A Mastercard survey across 28 European countries found that 57% of 18-24-year-olds and 52% of 24-34-year-olds are planning a skill-based trip this holiday season, compared to the 48% average of all adult Europeans. Some skills young travelers want to pick up include new languages, culinary skills, cheesemaking, martial arts, and traditional crafts. YPulse data shows that the majority of young Europeans want to relax while on vacation, but 18-24-year-olds and 25-39-year-olds are interested in partaking in activities like cooking classes, outdoor activities, artist workshops, and more.
