The Banco de España’s Survey of Household Finances report reveals that the median salary for 20-40-year-olds declined by €10K between 2020 and 2022 while it increased by €50K among those 60+ for the same period. The difficulty to buy property in Spain, due to rising property prices and high youth unemployment rates, partly explains young Spaniards’ unfortunate declining net wealth. (The Local)
