Luxury brands are starting to use digital passports for their products. The European Union is enforcing a new regulation on sustainability and luxury goods later this year, intending to boost the transparency and traceability of luxury products. In anticipation of the set of new rules, luxury brands are starting to use digital product passports (DPP), which will deliver key sustainable information about their products. The DPP will also help fight counterfeits as well as allow luxury brands to bring more storytelling to their unique products. (WWD)
