TV bans and no Insta for kids under 18-years-old: France’s new proposal for screen-free education. President Macron initiated a task force to address the issue of screens in education earlier this year, and the experts he commissioned just handed in their findings. In short, they concluded that screens negatively impact health, development, and French society. Among their many recommendations include restricting screen access for young children, having parental controls on devices, and setting a minimum age for social media access—now 18-years-old is the cap they suggest for Instagram.
