A clear disconnect is growing between young French people and their politicians. A study by the Cercle des Économistes found that a staggering 78% of French 18-30-year-olds don’t think their vote counts and 64% feel no one is representing them in French politics. What’s more, young French people aren’t confident about their knowledge of politics. The survey reveals only 10% of them feel they were well informed about political and democratic mechanisms when they were at school. (Le Point)
