Amazon wants to make live shopping relevant. The company is expanding its live shopping efforts by introducing an “Amazon Live” channel on Prime Video and Freevee. The channel will offer 24/7 content from notable creators and celebrities to provide more interactive and shoppable content options. Users will have the option to shop for products that influencers show on their Amazon Shopping app which can be found by simply searching “shop the show.” In previous years, its live shopping sector was projected to value $31.7B, whereas total online retail sales in the U.S. soared to $1.14T—but the company is hoping to increase their live sales sector dramatically.
