Brands including Taco Bell and KFC want to use artificial intelligence to run every aspect of their restaurants. As AI continues to progress in healthcare and retail industries, it’s speeding up the adoption of advanced technologies by fast food chains. Yum!, the parent company of many popular fast food chains, is already experimenting with AI technology to provide employees with instant answers to questions using an app, without the need for referring to training materials. Many fast food locations have already updated their drive thru to test generative voice AI as well, but of course that opens the common debate of whether “robots are displacing humans.” (WSJ)
