The Biden campaign is utilizing social media and memes to attract young voters.

Feb 15 2024

The Biden campaign is utilizing social media and memes to attract young voters. His first video on TikTok received over 4.2M views and was captioned “lol hey guys,” (a very Gen Z move) where he answered lighthearted questions and promoted his candidacy. In a post-Super Bowl Instagram pic, the POTUS even used the “Dark Brandon” meme which has made internet rounds before. However, there are rising concerns about how social media platforms will protect integrity during elections, with TikTok and Meta implementing plans to combat misinformation. Despite these concerns, politicians know they need to appeal to young voters in ways they’ll find most authentic. (Mashable)
