Young gens and people of color are driving an influx of relocations to Texas.According to U.S. Census data, Gen Z and Millennials combined made up 70.5% of the people moving into Texas between 2021 and 2022. The vast majority of the population growth is associated with an influx of people of color, too, with most moving in that time frame not identifying as White. One of the main attractions for new residents is available, affordable homes, a purchase that’s become increasingly difficult for the young gens to see themselves making.
